Product Usage and Principle
MEP-2000 electrostatic precipitator is a double way dust remover, generally installed in the supply and exhaust duct of subway stations, air conditioning units or main tunnels. Without the need to build the wind duct, civil construction cost of MEP-2000 is low. What is more important, MEP-2000 is convenient for installation, operation and maintenance. And it has long service life because of corrosion resistant material and automatic cleaning system. In conclusion, MEP-2000 is a economical way of dust removal.
The principle of MEP-2000 will be described as follow:
Firstly, dust gas flow into ionizing part. The particles in the dust gas are charged under the effect of High-pressure ionization. Then particles in the dust gas are collected in the collecting part. In the ionizing part, particles are charged with negative because of the spike with 10-12KV high voltage current. The electric field is formed between one dust collecting plate and another one. The charged particles realize orientation movement under the electric field force. Finnally, the charged particles settle down on the dust collecting plate. So as to achieve double way dust removal, ionizing part is set up at both ends of MEP-2000 electrostatic precipitator, connecting with the PLC intelligent control.

Product features
MEP-2000 electrostatic precipitator has the following product features:
1. Dust removal efficiency is more than 90% when the air velocity is less than 8m/s. MEP-2000 can operate continuously about 90 minutes at 250℃ smoke condition in order to reduce the fire smoke.
2. Low maintenance cost because of fully automated operation; long service life because of corrosion resistant material and automatic cleaning system.
3. Modular components are much convenient for assembly, disassembly and maintenance.
4. Patent registration certificates are granted in China, Korea, the United States, Japan and Singapore.
Construction features
MEP-2000 electrostatic precipitator is consist of 7 modular components which include safety door, pre-filtration system, high voltage DC power supply pack, multi-cross ESP units, cleaning system, water treatment system, PLC intelligent control system.
1. Safety door: Effectively prevent the large debris into the dust removal system so as to ensure the safe and effective operation of the dust removal system.
2. Pre-filtration system: Can remove the particles size more than PM10 so as to achieve the preliminary filter for air.
3. High voltage DC power supply pack: Provide a stable high pressure for the ionizing part and collecting part of multi-cross ESP unit to ensure that the particles in the air can be charged. Then the dust removal efficiency can be ensured.
4. Multi-cross ESP units: Multi-cross ESP units are the core part of the dust removal system. The unit is consist of the ionizing part and collecting part.
5. Cleaning system: According to the operating condition of the electrostatic precipitator, cleaning system automatically clean up the collecting part and pre-filtration system of the mult-cross electrostatic precipitator. Then the accumulated dust is removed.
6. Water treatment system: Sewage discharged by cleaning system is filtered in the water treatment system. Then clean water resupply to the cleaning system. The purpose of water recycle is achieved.
7. PLC intelligent control system: Set the processes to achieve the intelligent control of the dust removal system according to the traffic flow of the tunnel.
